Lisa Ricard Claro has quickly become an author that I stalk on social media because I’m eager to hear about upcoming releases. I’m happy to be chatting with you today about her latest, a novella, which is part of Roxanne St. Claire’s Barefoot Bay Kindle World.
Kid-lit author Merry Sunjoy and syndicated sports columnist Nick Brubaker meet on the beaches of Mimosa Key, where both have come to work on their latest book. However, Merry doesn’t know that Nick is also her detested online nemesis, Scurvy Rickets, a writer of raucous pirate stories for kids. Neither are looking for love but …
Let’s talk about the title first. Two authors on a path to love – isn’t The Write Man the PERFECT title? As an avid reader, I can’t think of anything much more fun than two authors falling in love.
This is the fourth work of Ms. Claros that I’ve had the pleasure of reading. Like her other stories, this too left me feeling good, light hearted and simply happy that I spent time in the world Claro created for me. Merry and Nick are believable and likeable together. They were fun and their story heartfelt but filled with hardship they had to work through. I found their story satisfying and the epilogue the perfect conclusion that answered all my questions. Fans of The Princess Bride will love the references to the movie in The Write Man.
Until the next Claro title releases, you’ll find me continuing to stalk her social media accounts 😉 Why don’t you see what I’ve been talking about and grab a book by Claro. You can’t go wrong with this title or her Fireflies series.
