I have loved Rascal Flatts from the moment I heard their first song, “Prayin’ For Daylight,” back in 2000. Nineteen years later, I’ve seen the group in concert 10+ times and love them still. Some books just FEEL important as you’re reading them. And this is one of those books. But what I love about this book is that it’s also really easy to read and it flew by as I was listening to it. I loved it so much and I can’t even put into words how great it was. It’s funny, touching, beautiful, and incredibly well-written. I don’t think I’ve squealed about Hamilton and Lin-Manuel Miranda or any of the amazing cast members here (that needs to be corrected shortly!), but I’m kind of obsessed with it. So much so that when I discovered that Lin had narrated a YA book previously I had to rush out to listen to it as quickly as possible.
