Ten Questions vol. 2 #29 Rena Olsen
Bookish Devices: What is your favorite word?
Rena Olsen: Indubitably
BD: What is your least favorite word?
RO: Moist – ugh, I shudder just typing that
BD: What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally?
RO: Talking with other writers, bouncing ideas off each other…it’s that connection you can only get with a kindred soul
BD: What turns you off?
RO: Negativity
BD: What sound or noise do you love?
RO: Rain
BD: What sound or noise do you hate?
RO: Loud swallowing
BD: If you could have drinks with any author or literary figure, whom would you invite?
RO: Ray Bradbury. It might be creepy, since he’s no longer living, but i’m sure Zombie Ray Bradbury would be just as brilliant.
BD: What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?
RO: I’m already a therapist and an author…maybe a pop star!
BD: What profession would you not like to do?
RO: Garbage woman. God bless ’em.
BD: What would you choose for your last meal?
RO: Homemade softshell tacos. Papa John’s cheese pizza. Chocolate cake. Mello Yello.
Bonus Questions:
BD: What is your favorite curse word?
RO: I prefer to make up my own. My personal favorite “made-up” one is “asphalt.” As in, “That dude is such an asphalt.”
BD: If you were going to be stranded on a desert island and could only bring one book, which would you bring?
RO: This. This is the question that makes all book lovers go mad. Perhaps…The Complete Harry Potter Series in One Giant Book? Is that a thing? I will make it a thing and then bring it to my desert island.
