It’s been awhile since the Bookish Ladies read and reviewed the same book. Today Jennifer and Melinda share their very different feelings on Kristan Higgins’ Good Luck with That. Continue reading “Opposing Book Reviews: Good Luck with That by Kristan Higgins”
This is book 2 and I didn’t read book 1 but went straight into this and I was happily just fine without knowing anything that came before it so yay to that! This author is one that I’ve had on my TBR for awhile so I’m glad I finally read something by her. And I liked it so much I went back and have already since read the first book. I read Famous and Infamous (and really enjoyed both!) and then bought her 49th Floor series when it was on sale because the stories were very inclusive. I was not disappointed and that sealed the deal but her Bridesmaids Behaving Badly series has delighted me to no end. Continue reading “Book Review: It Takes Two by Jenny Holiday”

This the companion book to Julie Murphy’s hit book Dumplin’, which is soon to be a movie, a book I loved. We’ve already met both main characters of Puddin’ in the previous book so it’s nice to have everything already established for us and get to jump right in. What’s great is you don’t have to read the first book to get what’s happening – either way you would be completely fine with your point of entry, and that is really important to have and I appreciate that the author was able to manage that here. Engaging throughout but the ending left me feeling … Continue reading “Book Review: Somebody’s Daughter by David Bell”
