What would you do if your spouse cheated on you?
Music agent Kellen Rossiter has everything he ever wanted: A-list clients, a loving wife and a faith that’s never wavered—until now. Juliet Rossiter has the perfect life: a rewarding schedule serving the underprivileged, a husband who loves her and a future as a mother—at least that’s what she thinks. But what happens when their rock-solid marriage begins to crumble under the weight of an unexpected and powerful temptation?
Devotion is the story of what a marriage should be but most often isn’t. Yes, there was trouble in Kellen and Juliet’s marriage but I think a lot of couples often give up too easily on their relationships. Don’t they? It seems to me that divorce is the answer to most relationship problems these days. But in Devotion Evans paints a picture of a couple working hard to make their marriage work. She does a great job of making us feel the hurt endured by Kellen and Juliet but she also paints a wonderful picture of their road to redemption. The road is tough; it isn’t easy but I found myself rooting for this couple to find their way back together. The only thing I wished I had was an epilogue. Just a brief look at the couple a few months or years down the road. I feel like they successfully put their marriage back together but sometimes I just need to see it in writing to settle my heart 🙂
This was my first Marianne Evans novel and it won’t be the last. I look forward to reading more of her books.
I received a copy of this book from Book Expo America in May 2016.
