Like a lot of you, I grew up watching Full House on Friday nights, and more recently enjoying Fuller House on Netflix. When I came across Full Circle by Andrea Barber, aka Kimmy Gibbler, on NetGalley I was curious about the woman who brought this character to life.

Full Circle is a well-written, quick and easy read. Barber does a nice job of capturing her life but also inserting a little bit of humor, so that the more serious stuff doesn’t bring the reader down. This reader was a bit shocked at how different Andrea is from the character she played on TV. That is by no means a knock on Barber. It is absolutely a positive comment because despite her fears she brought to life this crazy character.

I was surprised to learn about Barber’s struggle with anxiety and depression. But it was a reminder that we are all human and all suffer in some way. Being a celebrity doesn’t make you immune to suffering. I appreciate her being honest and sharing because maybe there’s someone out there who needs to hear it. If this books helps one person seek help, that’s a win-win.

I have always enjoyed books like this that provide a behind the scenes look. I find all the work that goes on behind the cameras to bring these stories to life fascinating. If you’re a fan of Full House and/or Fuller House, I think you will really enjoy this book.
