The opening lines of this book really grabbed me. What was happening? Continue reading “Book Review: The Girl Before by Rena Olsen”
I’m a big fan of Emily Giffin and I’ve really loved pretty much all of her other books. She has a great way of writing families and women in particular that is incredibly realistic, funny, and moving. So when I got a chance to meet her at BEA back in May I was really excited! I got a chance to get a signed copy of First Comes Love, which was great, and the author was genuine with her fans (also she was beautiful in person!). I’ve been reading Sandra Brown off and on for years. Her past couple of releases have been on my “I must have it on release day!” list. The same was true for Sting but unfortunately this book didn’t quite live up to what I’ve come to expect from Brown. Continue reading “Book Review: Sting by Sandra Brown”
Caroline Hammond discovers her husband is having an affair. Does it sting a bit more because that affair is with another man? I think so. This revelation forces Caroline to question her entire relationship with her husband, Adam. Continue reading “Book Review: Results May Vary by Bethany Chase”
I requested this book completely based on its synopsis. It’s a m/m romance set on a cooking reality show like Top Chef. Um YES PLEASE!? I was definitely hoping it would live up to how exited I was for a book based on that awesomeness. And it so did! Continue reading “Book Review: Under the Knife by Laurin Kelly”
Sweet Tomorrows is the fifth and final book in Macomber’s Rose Harbor series. I’m usually a stickler and recommend that readers read a series in order. I stand by that advice but I’ll admit (and it’s hard to) that Sweet Tomorrows can be read without having read the previous books. Macomber does an excellent job of filling in the details so that the reader won’t feel lost. The series is a good one, so do go read the other books if you haven’t. Lauren Dane is yet another prolific author I love! I’ve whipped through most of her backlist, but the one genre of hers that I have yet to try is any of her paranormal books for some reason. This is my first one and it was so good! I foresee a binge on all of her previous paranormal books now. Continue reading “Book Review: Moonstruck (Diablo Lake #1) by Lauren Dane”
A beautiful, heartwarming story. Continue reading “Book Review: We Are All Made of Stars by Rowan Coleman”
