Book Review: Better Get To Livin’ by Sally Kilpatrick

Better Get To Livin’ is the second book that I’ve read by Sally Kilpatrick, and I must admit, it is as sweet, funny and charming as the first, The Happy Hour Choir. Continue reading “Book Review: Better Get To Livin’ by Sally Kilpatrick”

Audiobook Review: A Necessary End by Holly Brown

I chose this audiobook based solely on the narrator. I fell in love with Khristine Hvam when I first listened to her narration of Daughter and Smoke and Bone a few years ago and this might be the 5th or 6th book I’ve bought just to listen to her narrate. She makes me enjoy just about any type of book I listen to and I’ve never been disappointed yet! But this book was even better – a happy surprise where the plot was great and surprising at every turn. Combined with Hvam’s narration it made for a wonderful overall experience. Book Review: True Crime Addict by James Renner

Is it wrong to admit that I like reading true crime books? When I was approved for this book on NetGalley I was eager to dive in. Continue reading “Book Review: True Crime Addict by James Renner”

Ten Authors One Question: Volume Two

In the second installment of our Ten Questions @ Book Expo America special event, we’re featuring ten more authors including Jodi Picoult, Berkeley Breathed, Brandon Mull, and Maggie Stiefvater. Instead of our usual author Q&A we’ve asked the authors we’ve spoken to at BEA to answer one simple question:

Litsy: The Perfect Marriage between Goodreads and Instagram?

One of my favorite parts of BEA is finding out about what’s new in the bookish world. One of my top finds of this year was Litsy, a new app that looks like it has the potential to be my new favorite social media experience. Book Review: One Pink Rose by Julie Garwood

Having read Julie Garwood’s For the Roses, an absolutely wonderful book, many years ago, I forgot that she also wrote sequels which continued with the Clayborne brothers after they’d grown. Continue reading “Book Review: One Pink Rose by Julie Garwood”

A newbie’s perspective and guide to BEA

Phew! I’m back from BEA and so exhausted from everything that went into trying to not miss a single second of the show. It was basically go-go-go at all times Wednesday through Friday but I regret nothing…especially as I look at my amazing book haul and even better pictures! Continue reading “A newbie’s perspective and guide to BEA”

Book Review: Love to Believe by Lisa Ricard Claro

Title: Love to Believe

Author: Lisa Ricard Claro

Rating: 4.5 stars

Reviewer: Jennifer

Love to Believe is the follow up to Claro’s Love Built to Last. I reviewed book 1 last week. If you missed it, you can see that review here. You can read this book without reading the first, but don’t. Always read a series in order, that is my advice. Plus, this series is off to a great start. You’re not going to want to miss a minute. Book Expo America 2016: Friday Recap

Day three at BEA was, if it’s even possible, filled with more books than the days before. It began with mad dashes to the Maggie Stiefvater  and Emily Giffin signing lines and ended with a lazy final stroll through the sadly emptying exhibition hall with what feels like a million books sandwiched between.
