Still shopping on Christmas Eve? Or even Christmas day? Or are you just late for a birthday gift? Well don’t worry, we can help! Here are some great last minute gifts any book lover will adore.
First I guess we should get the obvious out of the way–Amazon: Yes, everyone knows they can send an Amazon gift card to anyone in minutes but, if you’re looking for something a little more creative for that bookworm on your list, Amazon has a few other options worth checking out.
For $9.99 a month Kindle Unlimited members have access to an all you can read library of over 1 million Kindle books as well has thousands of audio books. This is a great gift for the person who never seems to have enough to read. Gift subscriptions are available in 6, 12, and 24 month options. And you don’t even need to have a Kindle to take advantage of this great program. Kindle Unlimited is available on any device that has a Kindle app (Apple and Android devices etc)
Want to select a specific book to give? Amazon can help you there too! Did you know that you can gift Kindle Books? Simply choose your title and select the gift option. You can either have the book emailed to the recipient directly or you can choose to print out a certificate you can give in person. And don’t worry about buying something they already have–digital books can be returned just like physical books.
Audiobooks are becoming increasingly popular and I can understand why. For someone who never has enough time to read Audiobooks allow me to “read” on my commute, while I’m crafting, doing chores, or otherwise have my hands and eyes occupied. The production quality of most audiobooks is excellent and publishers are bringing in high profile actors to read us our favorite stories. I mean who wouldn’t want to listen to Colin Firth read to them? Audible gift options include 3, 6, and 12 month subscriptions or if you prefer you can gift a single book of your choice.
Not into the Amazon family of companies? Well we’ve still got some great ideas:
Are you a Barnes and Noble person? Have a Nook? You can send a digital Barnes and Noble Gift Card to anyone in minutes. You can also gift Nook books via email if you prefer to select something special.
Don’t want to buy an actual book? Some of our favorite purveyors of book related merchandise also have last minute gift card options:
Send a Litographs gift card and your friends can literally wrap themselves in a book (or buy a t-shirt or poster).
Giving an Out of Print gift card lets your special someone choose from a wonderful collection or clothing, bags, journals and other items based off of classic literature and general book nerd fun.
What about an Etsy gift card? With it’s selection of unique, quirky, and beautiful handcrafted items anyone is certain to find something they love. Might we suggest this library necklace from teaANDtentacles
Well that’s it for now. I hope you were able to find something for the book lover on your shopping list. Happy gifting!
