Title: Suddenly in Love

The first in a new contemporary romance series, Suddenly in Love is another winner from one of my favorite authors, Julia London.

Quirky and free spirited Mia Lassiter heads home to work for her Aunt’s design firm after striking out in NYC as an artist. She never really fit in her hometown because of her artistic nature and wild attire, so she considers this move back home as a huge defeat. Her first job with Aunt Bev’s firm is supervising the renovation one of the biggest homes on East Beach, owned by the mother of a very famous rock star, Everett Alden. Incognito on East Beach, disillusioned by fame and fortune, he is going by his real name, Brennan Yates in order to find peace and quiet. After a rocky first meeting, Brennan and Mia become friends. She has no idea that he is a famous rock star since she usually only listens to classical music, and he doesn’t offer up this information. Their friendship grows as they realize that they have much in common with their artistic values. Mia and Brennan inspire each other creatively. It becomes obvious that this friendship will grow into something much bigger, but when will Brennan come clean with Mia about his true identity, and how will that affect their budding relationship?  This was a very emotional story with interesting characters and their life lessons learned along the way. I am highly recommending yet another Julia London book and looking forward to the next in the series.
