This is the first of Peterson’s new New Adult series and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really enjoyed it for the most part! Set during a semester abroad in Spain, it’s filled with delicious food, dancing, and culture that I loved.
Vivian Bingley has a rough transition when she arrives in Spain for her semester abroad right from the beginning. She can’t quit crying and pretty much wants to leave immediately but when she decides to go out her luck changes quickly when she meets Rafa. That first meeting is one of my favorite parts of the whole book. It’s incredibly sweet and sexy as Vivian and Rafa hit it off right away, their chemistry is pretty instant. The dancing is the best part of this scene as it’s hot to see Rafa teaching it to Vivian.
As the book progresses however what I didn’t love what the main source of conflict. Vivian’s best friend falls for Rafa and that part didn’t bother, what did was that there was a lot of going back and forth on Vivian’s part. It seemed that she couldn’t make up her mind on anything and there were a few times when I wanted to shake her to make up her mind. Rafa was pretty awesome though. He was sweet and tender. The whole book makes me want to go to Spain!

Coincidentally, I’m writing a review for this book as we speak (or rather, as I type). Totally enjoyed reading this!

Did it make you want to be in Spain the whole time? I wanted to be there and eat the food so badly! Not to mention flirt with the guys lol!

Yes, yes!!! It made me wish I could study abroad and drink wine on a daily basis and soak up all the culture and yes, flirt with guys. 😂
