My love for Nalini Singh isn’t exactly one that’s hidden. I like to sing it from the rafters and she tops my list of ultimate dream authors I would love to meet! But there are different permutations of this author and the Guild Hunter series is my all time favorite. Archangel’s Heart is the latest in this series, out today actually, and it fulfilled almost every thing that I was looking for in this book. I can always count on Nalini to not let me down which is why she’s one of the handful of autobuy authors I have which is the highest of honors a reader can bestow! You know how a book can be recommended over and over to you by people who know you? And you kind of worry in the back of your mind that you won’t like the book and then what? Yeah, this book was recommended to me repeatedly but holy crap it was love at first reading, hitting on multiple tropes I love and ones I didn’t know I loved! Continue reading “Book Review: The Hating Game by Sally Thorne”
If you’ve been following our blog then you’ve probably noticed that Melinda’s and Jennifer’s reading tastes are pretty different. They’ve collaborated on just one review but are happy to join forces again for a review of Jodi Picoult’s Small Great Things. Continue reading “Book Review: Small Great Things by Jodi Picoult”
I’ve been dealing with a pretty serious book hangover left from The Goal. I started and deleted at least 4 or 5 books and was desperately looking for a book that wouldn’t let me down. I decided I needed a genre shift and since I generally read a lot of straight up romance a friend suggested The Mother Road by Meghan Quinn as a hilarious romantic comedy. This isn’t something I generally read because humor can be so subjective but this friend and I are pop culture twins so I trusted her. And it was SO GOOD! The Goal is the 4th and final book in the Off-Campus series by Elle Kennedy. Well, maybe final, but more on that later. I went back and looked to see ratings of the other books in this series and I was completely unsurprised to see that they were all 5 stars. And the last one is the same thankfully! Elle always shocks me with how prolific she is with her writing because I don’t get how she can write the quantity she does and stay so on top of her game. Yet she does. Continue reading “Book Review: The Goal by Elle Kennedy”
This post is going to be on the long side so I’m going to do away with the catchy intros and just jump right in. This week Melinda and Jessica are participating in the blog tour for A Change of Heart by one of their favorite authors, Sonali Dev. We’ve got a silly story of two bloggers, a review, an interview with the author, and, if you make it all the way to the end, a giveaway! Fun right! We think so 🙂 Continue reading “A Change of Heart by Sonali Dev: A Book Review, Blog Tour, Giveaway, Interview, and an Umm Interesting Conversation”
This is the 4th book in Megan Erickson’s male/male romance In Focus but it can absolutely be read alone and you won’t be lost at all. However the previous books are really great so I would highly recommend anyone them. They’re some of my favorites in the genre! Continue reading “Release Blitz + Review: Overexposed by Megan Erickson”
I’m so excited about this anthology! I’ve been waiting for it to come out for awhile and it’s finally here! This anthology has 12 short stories that range from Y/A to N/A to M/M. 100% of the proceeds go to author Colleen Hoover’s charity The Bookworm Box. I’m going to review just a few of the stories here and also want to give away a copy of the kindle version – scroll down to the bottom to find out how to enter! Continue reading “Anthology Book Review: Between Hearts”
Gayle Forman is known for her Young Adult fiction and I’m a big fan. If I Stay in particular is one of my favorites of hers, but I’ve read pretty much everything she’s written. So I was very excited to get her first foray into Adult fiction at BEA back in May. Continue reading “Book Review: Leave Me by Gayle Forman”
