Unsurprisingly I like to read reviews before I read certain books. This book had been on my Kindle for a while so I looked up the reviews before I started reading and it had a ton of 5 star reviews, citing one of my favorite tropes – the brother’s best friend. Which just served to make me pretty excited to start it. I was a little surprised when I did and realized the MC was a widow. So this is just a Jen Frederick happy week! I know I just reviewed Paper Princess yesterday but coincidentally I also finished Unraveled on audio around the same time and wanted to get my review up for it sooner rather than later, so let’s just consider this Jen Frederick week okay? I’ve read Unraveled when it first came out back in January 2014 and loved it so when I found out the whole Woodlands series were being released on audio I was ridiculously excited. This is a duology that includes both #6 and #7 in the Bend or Break series, or you can buy them separately if you’re so inclined. I prefer the cover on this one and Cousins always has the best covers! Either individually or together these books get an easy 5 stars, but that’s really not surprising since I’m kind of a fangirl for this whole series. Looking at this book and the description I wasn’t very sure that it would be for me. I do enjoy good non-fiction books but I don’t consider myself much of an original!
