Book Review: Lake Silence by Anne Bishop

This book is loosely tied to my BELOVED (and I think widely beloved) The Others series by Anne Bishop. It’s in the same world so I absolutely jumped at the chance to read it – and I mean squealed out loud when I saw ‘The World of The Others’ on the cover. Which BTW is smart marketing and a super easy way to convey to readers that it’s not in the series but it’s in that same world. Which I totally appreciated and for me I got right away what that meant. Continue reading “Book Review: Lake Silence by Anne Bishop”

Book Review: Whiskey Sharp – Unraveled by Lauren Dane

Lauren Dane is one prolific author. She’s one of those writers that if you’re looking for a trope you can find it. Witches? Diablo Lake. Shifters? Diablo Lake and Cascadia Wolves. Rockers? Hurley Boys. Small Town? Petal Georgia. Menage? Err, there’s a few actually but I’ll go with Brown Family. My point is that she writes across genres and tropes and writes them all really well. I’ve read almost all of her works and I’d say about 90% of them worked for me and when an author has as much out there as Lauren Dan that’s a really impressive stat! Book Review: Bountiful by Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen’s True North series is one of my favorites. It has my combination of a few amazing qualities – heart, humor, well developed characters, and a solid world that I can get lost in quite easily. The previous three books were ones that I’ve adored for individual reasons. Each book had things that I either connected with or was so well written that I immediately needed to tell other to read so I could discuss. Bountiful is the latest addition to the True North family and it’s really no different – in a great way. Continue reading “Book Review: Bountiful by Sarina Bowen”

Book Review: Seeing Red by Sandra Brown

It’s very rare that a book keeps me up late reading and if it does then it’s definitely a good one. That was the case with Seeing Red by Sandra Brown. As the clock ticked closer to 12AM, I couldn’t stop until I knew everything. Continue reading “Book Review: Seeing Red by Sandra Brown”

Book Review: Chasing Destiny by Megan Erickson

Chasing Destiny is book 2 in Megan Erickson’s werewolf/zombie apocalyptic series. And that sentence just sounds odd but I LOVE this series and highly recommend it. I was really anticipating this book and it did not let me down at all. Continue reading “Book Review: Chasing Destiny by Megan Erickson”

Book Review/Tour: Heart of the Steal by Avon Gale & Roan Parrish

Roan Parrish – who wrote the Middle of Somewhere series I love- and Avon Gale – who wrote the Scoring Chances series I adore and a ton of other books – teamed up and wrote a book! Male/Male romance seems filled with these amazing writing duo’s; Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy, Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell and now we can add Roan and Avon to this great list. Continue reading “Book Review/Tour: Heart of the Steal by Avon Gale & Roan Parrish”

Book Review – Coach’s Challenge by Avon Gale

Coach’s Challenge is the next in one of my favorite series – the Scoring Chances series by Avon Gale. I’m a huge fan of hockey books (hello Sarina Bowen!) and a friend introduced me to Gale’s writing last year and since then I’ve devoured literally every single thing she has ever published. I’m not exaggerating when I say that all of them have been 4, 4.5, or 5 stars. So any time there’s a new one I’m there for it! Continue reading “Book Review – Coach’s Challenge by Avon Gale”

Book Review: Archangel’s Heart by Nalini Singh

My love for Nalini Singh isn’t exactly one that’s hidden. I like to sing it from the rafters and she tops my list of ultimate dream authors I would love to meet! But there are different permutations of this author and the Guild Hunter series is my all time favorite. Archangel’s Heart is the latest in this series, out today actually, and it fulfilled almost every thing that I was looking for in this book. I can always count on Nalini to not let me down which is why she’s one of the handful of autobuy authors I have which is the highest of honors a reader can bestow! Continue reading “Book Review: Archangel’s Heart by Nalini Singh”
