Book Review: You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott

This book is a murder mystery, but not. It’s not a YA novel by any means but it concentrates largely on teen characters. You Will Know Me has a little of everything – family drama, sports, murder and above all, really great writing. Continue reading “Book Review: You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott”

Audiobook Review: The Royal We by Heather Cocks & Jessica Morgan

2 of my trusted book chat friends have raved about this book on and off for the last year. Then when I was looking for a new audiobook I found that Christine Lakin narrated it. I’m a big fan of hers – I’d listened to her narrate the Parasitology books and The Coldest Girl in Coldtown. All of those books were 5 star audiobooks and her narration was a big part of it. Book Review: Wait For It by Mariana Zapata

Wait For It is Mariana Zapata’s 6th book and I’ve read all of them this year. She’s a self published author that quickly became one that I heard about in a variety of reader groups that became really hard to ignore! And when I gave in to read the first one – Kulti – the rest quickly followed. It’s the same for most people who read her books because they just draw you in and Wait For It is no different from the rest. Continue reading “Book Review: Wait For It by Mariana Zapata”

Book Review: Liquid Lies by Hanna Martine

This is a book that I’ve had on my Kindle for awhile and just never got around to reading it for no particular reason. I hate when that happens and with each new release my TBR gets longer and longer so these kinds of books sort of get pushed aside. I finally chose to get to it this past week to see if it’s a series I’d be interested in continuing. Continue reading “Book Review: Liquid Lies by Hanna Martine”

Book Review: Trust by Jana Aston

Trust is book 3 in Jana Aston’s Wrong Trilogy but the first I’ve reviewed on here – mainly because I read them insanely quickly! A bookish friend of mine kept telling me I had to read these and that I would love Trust in particular. When I finally gave in I read all three in as many days because they’re really well-written, laugh out loud funny, but really touching all at the same time. The combination is really unbeatable. Book Review: Something Borrowed by Louisa George

I look for book recommendations from all sorts of sources – other review bloggers, book friends, I’ll take them from pretty much anywhere. Once I know I can trust the books are to my preferences I’ll listen to them across genres and look forward to reading different recs. One of my favorite sources for them is various authors that I follow. A few authors that I love both their books and their recommendations are Sarina Bowen, Jen Frederick, and Nalini Singh. Something Borrowed came recommended from Singh. Continue reading “Book Review: Something Borrowed by Louisa George”
