Book Related Podcasts I love

I listen to a ridiculous amount of podcast; I mean a *ridiculous* amount. Considering I also listen to audiobooks I seriously have no idea how I find the time to listen to everything that I do. My tastes in them are just as wide ranging as my tastes in genres in books – I listen to everything from true crime to pop culture to political but some of my favorites are the ones that talk about (and I’m betting you guessed it) BOOKS! I mean, put books and podcasts together and you have the best of EVERYTHING in my opinion. And then throw in some convo about Broadway…it’s like I’ve died and gone to some kind of introvert geek girl heaven.

Book Review: Bountiful by Sarina Bowen

Sarina Bowen’s True North series is one of my favorites. It has my combination of a few amazing qualities – heart, humor, well developed characters, and a solid world that I can get lost in quite easily. The previous three books were ones that I’ve adored for individual reasons. Each book had things that I either connected with or was so well written that I immediately needed to tell other to read so I could discuss. Bountiful is the latest addition to the True North family and it’s really no different – in a great way. Continue reading “Book Review: Bountiful by Sarina Bowen”

Book Review: Temporary by Sarina Bowen & Sarah Mayberry

So co written books are seriously my catnip apparently. I can think of half a dozen pairs of authors that write together that I adore! Megan Erickson and Santino Hassell. Avon Gale and Roan Parrish. Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy…and now Sarina Bowen and Sarah Mayberry joins that list with this romantic comedy book of their, Temporary. I was super excited when they announced it. I’m a well known Sarina fan because hello, who isn’t? But I’ve also been a big Sarah fan for years! So I was all around reccing my favorites of hers. If you haven’t read Her Favorite Temptation or Her Best Worst Mistake…run, don’t walk to get them. OH and Satisfaction and Anticipation– holy crap, you are in for a treat! Continue reading “Book Review: Temporary by Sarina Bowen & Sarah Mayberry”

Book Review: Fallen Heir by Erin Watt

The Royals trilogy by Erin Watt burst on the YA scene last year with a bang and pretty much everyone I know who read them became obsessed with them – me included.  They’re written by the writing duo of Elle Kennedy and Jen Frederick, both of whom I adore and have huge fan followings in their own rights so together they were bound to be a huge hit. The tag line of the books were ‘these Royals will ruin you’. And holy crap they DID. Fallen Heir is the follow up to these and THEY DID IT AGAIN. **No spoiler ahead.** Continue reading “Book Review: Fallen Heir by Erin Watt”

Book Review: Hate to Want You by Alisha Rai

I was lucky enough to meet Alisha Rai at RT in May, see her speak on an amazing panel, AND receive an ARC of Hate to Want You. Plus when I told her how much a good friend identified with her characters she gave me an ARC for her. I went there already a fan but left knowing that she was firmly on my auto-buy list. Continue reading “Book Review: Hate to Want You by Alisha Rai”

Book Review: Chasing Destiny by Megan Erickson

Chasing Destiny is book 2 in Megan Erickson’s werewolf/zombie apocalyptic series. And that sentence just sounds odd but I LOVE this series and highly recommend it. I was really anticipating this book and it did not let me down at all. Continue reading “Book Review: Chasing Destiny by Megan Erickson”

Book Review: Spellbinder by Thea Harrison

Spellbinder is book 2 in the Moonshadow trilogy by Thea Harrison. I absolutely loved the Elder Races series and this is a spin off of that series. You can read these books as a stand alone without any confusion but it was enjoyable for me to have the world building already established for me. I also really liked seeing names and characters popping up here and there that I recognized from the Elder Races. Continue reading “Book Review: Spellbinder by Thea Harrison”

Book Review/Tour: Heart of the Steal by Avon Gale & Roan Parrish

Roan Parrish – who wrote the Middle of Somewhere series I love- and Avon Gale – who wrote the Scoring Chances series I adore and a ton of other books – teamed up and wrote a book! Male/Male romance seems filled with these amazing writing duo’s; Sarina Bowen & Elle Kennedy, Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell and now we can add Roan and Avon to this great list. Continue reading “Book Review/Tour: Heart of the Steal by Avon Gale & Roan Parrish”

Book Review: Resentment by Nicole London

This is an enemies-to-lovers book and I generally love those kinds of books. Dean and Mia were in love in High School until something made them fall extremely out of love to the point of pretty much hatred. It’s been 10 years now and they have to be around each other again. Continue reading “Book Review: Resentment by Nicole London”
