I won a paperback copy of this from Sarah Wendell of Smart Bitches, Trashy Books a few weeks ago via Twitter. I knew nothing about it but I’m a big fan of SBTB and generally trust her recs. Then I read that Nalini Singh gave a recommendation for the book, and I pretty much adore all things Nalini so I started the book immediately lol. And…OMG…I’ve never been happier to have won a book before! I thoroughly loved everything about it. Continue reading “Book Review: A Promise of Fire by Amanda Bouchet”
I’m a big fan of Emily Giffin and I’ve really loved pretty much all of her other books. She has a great way of writing families and women in particular that is incredibly realistic, funny, and moving. So when I got a chance to meet her at BEA back in May I was really excited! I got a chance to get a signed copy of First Comes Love, which was great, and the author was genuine with her fans (also she was beautiful in person!). Continue reading “Book Review: First Comes Love by Emily Giffin”
I don’t think I’ve squealed about Hamilton and Lin-Manuel Miranda or any of the amazing cast members here (that needs to be corrected shortly!), but I’m kind of obsessed with it. So much so that when I discovered that Lin had narrated a YA book previously I had to rush out to listen to it as quickly as possible. Even better is that the book turned out to be really well written with amazing characters so BONUS! Continue reading “Holy Freaking OMG – Lin-Manuel Miranda Narrated an Audiobook!”
I requested this book completely based on its synopsis. It’s a m/m romance set on a cooking reality show like Top Chef. Um YES PLEASE!? I was definitely hoping it would live up to how exited I was for a book based on that awesomeness. And it so did! Continue reading “Book Review: Under the Knife by Laurin Kelly”
Jess informed me that today is National Coloring Book day! And since I love coloring we thought we’d do another coloring post and a general celebration of all things coloring related since there’s a whole day around this now. Continue reading “Happy National Coloring Book Day!”
I love Lilah Pace’s writing, I read her Asking for More books and thought her writing was captivating so I was so excited for this LGBT book to come out. This book is exactly what I needed! Since I read it I’ve been randomly recommending it to everyone I know who reads male/male romance. Continue reading “Book Review: His Royal Secret by Lilah Pace”
Lauren Dane is yet another prolific author I love! I’ve whipped through most of her backlist, but the one genre of hers that I have yet to try is any of her paranormal books for some reason. This is my first one and it was so good! I foresee a binge on all of her previous paranormal books now. Continue reading “Book Review: Moonstruck (Diablo Lake #1) by Lauren Dane”
I already effusively talked about how much I love Nalini Singh earlier this year so I won’t get into that yet again but Rock Wedding comes out today! This is the final book in her Rock Kiss contemporary series, which was a departure from her more paranormal roots. Each book has featured a different band mate and given us a glimpse at their friendship and for me this book was the perfect ending to the series. Continue reading “Book Review/Tour: Rock Wedding by Nalini Singh”
This is a Young Adult first time published author and I was so impressed with this book! Full disclosure that I semi know her online from seeing her in readerly discussions – so when I saw that she had published a novel I knew I had to read it right away. Continue reading “Book Review: First and Goal by Kata Cuic”
