Genres have a natural upswing and downswing of their popularity but I don’t always read according to what’s popular. I read according to what I’m in the mood for. New Adult was pretty popular a few years ago and I really enjoyed the well written ones and one of the best I read was Undecided by Julianna Keyes. It was funny, smart, and had heart – which when you combine the three are pretty much the essentials. Paint the Stars is book 3 in Christina Lee & Nyrae Dawn’s Free Fall series, which is a new adult age range of male/male combining two authors that I’ve really enjoyed in the past. The earlier two dealt with mental health issues and anxiety in a sensitive way. Continue reading “Release Blitz: Paint the Stars by Christina Lee & Nyrae Dawn”

Neil Gaiman wrote a new book. That was pretty much all I need to know before making a buying decision but, even though it was an instabuy, I didn’t expect it to leave me wondering if this was the perfect audiobook. Continue reading “Audio Book Review: Norse Mythology”
Too often I’m enjoying a story when I begin to feel like I’m not getting the meat and potatoes … just the veggies 🙂 That was the case with Always. When I read the final word and closed the book I knew more details would have enhanced my reading experience. Continue reading “Book Review: Always by Sarah Jio”
