Lauren Dane is yet another prolific author I love! I’ve whipped through most of her backlist, but the one genre of hers that I have yet to try is any of her paranormal books for some reason. This is my first one and it was so good! I foresee a binge on all of her previous paranormal books now. Continue reading “Book Review: Moonstruck (Diablo Lake #1) by Lauren Dane”
I already effusively talked about how much I love Nalini Singh earlier this year so I won’t get into that yet again but Rock Wedding comes out today! This is the final book in her Rock Kiss contemporary series, which was a departure from her more paranormal roots. Each book has featured a different band mate and given us a glimpse at their friendship and for me this book was the perfect ending to the series. Continue reading “Book Review/Tour: Rock Wedding by Nalini Singh”
This is a Young Adult first time published author and I was so impressed with this book! Full disclosure that I semi know her online from seeing her in readerly discussions – so when I saw that she had published a novel I knew I had to read it right away. Continue reading “Book Review: First and Goal by Kata Cuic”
Just like with Elle Kennedy, who I reviewed last week, I love Kristen Callihan’s work in many different forms. But her Paranormal Romance books are how I was introduced to her and what I love the most from her. This is the last in her Darkest London series and while I’m sad to see them end, I’m also happy she didn’t draw them out forever as ending on a high note is key. And this is such a high note for these books! Continue reading “Book Review: Forevermore by Kristen Callihan”

Title: Never Sweeter
Author: Charlotte Stein
Rating: 2 Very conflicted Stars
Reviewer: Melinda
This book is in the New Adult genre, which is unusual for Stein, as she usually writes more straight forward adult romances. But I am a fan of NA and of Charlotte Stein so I was excited to read this one. To be honest I didn’t even read the synopsis because I like her writing so much – she writes so beautifully and with an erotic edge to it. Continue reading “Book Review: Never Sweeter by Charlotte Stein”
Today’s 10 Questions installment features KJ Charles. KJ Charles is a writer and freelance editor. She lives in London with her husband, two kids, an out-of-control garden and an increasingly murderous cat. KJ writes mostly romance, gay and straight, frequently historical, and usually with some fantasy or horror in there. Continue reading “Ten Questions with KJ Charles”
Title: Kaleidoscope Hearts
Author: Claire Contreras
Rating: 3 Stars
Reviewer: Melinda
Unsurprisingly I like to read reviews before I read certain books. This book had been on my Kindle for a while so I looked up the reviews before I started reading and it had a ton of 5 star reviews, citing one of my favorite tropes – the brother’s best friend. Which just served to make me pretty excited to start it. I was a little surprised when I did and realized the MC was a widow. But I just expected/hoped that meant there might be even more depth to this novel than I was originally thinking there would be.
