I’m a big fan of Elle Kennedy – she’s such a prolific author! It seems that she can write in pretty much whatever genre she would like and be successful. I can’t decide which of her books are my favorite, on any given day it changes. Continue reading “Ten Questions with Elle Kennedy”
I won a paperback ARC from the publisher a few weeks ago and just about lost my bookish mind with excitement when I did! I’m a total fangirl for Elle Kennedy in all her many permutations as an author. She writes pretty amazing New Adult sport books I love, M/M romance with Sarina Bowen that I love, YA drama filled books with Jen Frederick that I love (can you sense a theme here?) but I fell in love with her as an author with her adult romances. And very adult romances they are! Continue reading “Book Review: Addicted by Elle Kennedy”
Allegiance of Honor is #15 in Nalini Singh’s Psy/Changeling series but was talked about as the beginning of a new story arc. This felt…different from all the rest of the books. Not bad different or good different – just different! There were so many things I loved about this book though and fans of Singh shouldn’t be disappointed. Continue reading “Book Review: Allegiance of Honor by Nalini Singh”
This is the first of Peterson’s new New Adult series and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I really enjoyed it for the most part! Set during a semester abroad in Spain, it’s filled with delicious food, dancing, and culture that I loved. Continue reading “Book Review: Spanish Lessons by Jessica Peterson”

June is Audiobooks Month and the Bookish Ladies are happy to take this opportunity to gush about one of our favorite things. This isn’t a review, a how to, or even a why you need to listen article. It’s simply our Audiobooks story. How we got into them, why we love them, and some of our favorites. Continue reading “Celebrating Audiobooks Month: Why We Love Audiobooks”
In the final installment of our Ten Questions @ Book Expo America special event, we feature ten more authors including David Levithan, Marissa Meyer, and Gayle Forman plus a bonus extra from Justin Cronin! Instead of our usual author Q&A we’ve asked the authors we’ve spoken to at BEA to answer one simple question:
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE WORD? Continue reading “Ten Authors One Question: Volume Four”
I read this in a group read and it was so much fun! I really loved the book from the opening scenes and that continues pretty much throughout the book. This is the third in the Ellery College series but can definitely be read as a stand alone as there isn’t much overlap. Both main characters made me love them but for different reasons – which is always a sign for a great book! Continue reading “Book Review: Unraveling Josh by Edie Danford”
I love all things Annabeth Albert! Seriously, I just fall in love with her writing more and more with each book and series of hers that I read. Beta Test is definitely no exception to this. I’ve also read a few books in the ‘gaymer’ genre and this genre just works so well for me which is surprising to me since I don’t have much interest in that area. Or maybe I just read really amazing authors! Continue reading “Book Review: Beta Test by Annabeth Albert”
